Last month seven members from our chapter attended a joint IIE Baltimore/IEEE-IAS evening presentation in Baltimore. The topic of this presentation was BGE Plug-in Electric Vehicle Frequently Asked Questions. The presentation discussed Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles and how they differ from standard hybrid vehicles. How the plugs will work and where you can find them. The efficiency of the vehicles was addressed and how the utility company in Baltimore expected to manage this new stress on their business.

One final thought. IIE elections will be here shortly. Please consider voting for Joyce Russell Hadley for our Regional Vice President position. Joyce has worked very diligently over the last two years in the role of Assistant Regional Vice President. She has been groomed for this position and is prepared to take over for the outgoing RVP.

Until our next newsletter,

Russell Wooten
President IIE National Capital Chapter
