IE’s in the news: November 2010

Purdue University’s School of Industrial Engineering’s ( Human Integrated Systems Lab had a booth at the 55th Annual ATCA Conference & Exposition. Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) attendees visiting the booth learned about the Lab’s use of an eye-tracking device to record an air traffic controller’s eye scanning path. The Lab plans to eventually develop software to help teach scanning techniques to new air traffic controllers. The ATCA conference was held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in the Washington, DC metro area from October 23 – 27.
